We had an amazing time hosting Professor Felix Arndt from the University of Guelph, Canada! Prof. Arndt, the John F Wood Chair in Entrepreneurship, delivered an engaging guest lecture and workshop in Professor Alex Chang’s Strategic Management class at IMBA, NCKU. 

Through an exciting interactive session, Prof. Arndt brought the Resource-Based View (RBV) and First-Mover Advantage concepts to life with hands-on activities.  Students competed to build the highest tower, vividly experiencing how differences in resources can create competitive advantages and understanding the impact of resource scarcity and non-substitutability on market competition. They also learned valuable strategies for effectively organizing resources to maximize team performance under tight deadlines. 

This experiential approach transformed RBV theories into practical insights, sparking fresh perspectives and lively discussions on traditional first-mover advantage assumptions. Students actively participated, generating impressive and insightful ideas about industry competition.
